About Us
MORRISON CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, INC., started in 1987, working primarily as a concrete contractor until 2002. In March of 2000, we signed an agreement with USG to place their underlayments, licensed to serve Northern California, from Bakersfield to the Oregon border excluding North & South Lake Tahoe.
In March of 2005, we created the Flatline Floors® division to reflect our commitment to underlayment applications.
Flatline Floors® has developed state-of-the-art equipment and utilizes a unique floor setup process to ensure the flattest floors possible. The setup process is more time consuming than conventional methods, but the finished product reflects a higher quality. Our company is also dedicated to meet your schedule through continuous communication with your project managers. We are the only gypsum flooring contractor in Northern California that specializes in radiant heat applications for custom homes. Our crew is presentable, and will leave the job as clean, if not cleaner than it was when we arrived.
Our services include gypsum and cementitious floors for fire and sound ratings, radiant heat, floor leveling, resurfacing & moisture mitigation.

Would you please pass along the following review to Jeff? I am not able to post it to Yelp (can't recall my password).
I made the huge mistake of hiring a general contractor to level my sloping slab foundation in preparation for hardwood floors only to realize that he had absolutely no idea how to level a slab (i.e. the floor was not level, the cement began crumbling within a week of installation, and there were huge holes in areas he failed to cover). The problem with many general contractors is that they know a little bit about a lot of stuff, but are not necessarily experts in critical things like sub-flooring. Luckily, I was able to get my money back from the general contractor and upon recommendation from the company I purchased the wood floors from, I hired Flatline Floors. The difference was astounding and obvious from the get-go. Not only did Flatline Floors have a variety of subfloor materials to chose the right type of material for my specific slab (the previous contractor believed one type of cement would work on any slab) but the prep Flatline Floors did was truly outstanding (from using a laser level to determine the exact depth of subfloor materials, grinding the existing cement slab, and using special moisture membrane prior to leveling the slab- none of which was done by the previous contractor). Additionally, Dave, Josh, David, Jeff, and the other guys from Flatline were extremely professional, attentive to detail, and beyond prompt (Dave was early both days they worked at my house).I really wish I had hired Flatline from the beginning as I wasted extremely valuable time having to remove the problematic cement "leveling" laid by the first company and strongly suspect that the moisture released during the first leveling caused damage to my walls. Conversely, Flatline Floors provides detailed explanations for customers about the curing process and how to prevent problems from the moisture released while the cement dries. I would recommend this company without the slightest hesitation and have told Jeff that he may share my contact info. with prospective customers who would like to speak with an actual customer (as opposed to wondering if this post was written by the company).

Jeff Morrison and the Flatline Floor team are amazing! We bought an Eichler with major concrete floor issues (ie: there was rolling concrete in the middle of the main living area). We had exactly seven days between closing and when we had to be out of our rental. Flatline Floors took on the job only to discover the floor had suffered years of botched fixes, and would require two concrete pours instead of one self-leveling pour (which was originally estimated). On a tight timeline, they did the job right! We finished the concrete, and it looks amazing. Even better, I feel we were in the hands of a true professional that got the job done right.
Jeff has decades of experience in general contracting, concrete, and self-leveling products. The attention to detail is old-school: Jeff came by at 7pm at night a few nights after we moved in to finish the thresholds. You can't go wrong with Flatline Floors!
